Powered by Pyodide, a WebAssembly-based Python interpreter, JPT runs code entirely within your browser—ensuring your code remains private, viewable only by you and OpenAI.

While JPT offers a taste of the Jupyter Notebook experience, it's still undergoing development and refinement to enhance its functionality and stability. Get started by simply asking ChatGPT to create a "Hello World" program in Python, then click the "Run" button. While the initial execution might take a bit longer, subsequent runs will be much faster, making coding more efficient and enjoyable.

Editing your Python code is a breeze with the "Edit" button, allowing for quick changes without saving those modifications permanently. To supercharge your projects, you can also import Python packages using micropip—just type in commands like micropip.install("scipy").

JPT empowers you to run and edit Python code effortlessly, view output from standard output (stdout), and visualize data with Matplotlib plots. However, be cautious of infinite loops, which can cause the extension to freeze; a quick restart will fix that!
